Gordon, what was wrong with your screen? Was it just that it had black dots or something else? If it works little bit then can I try it on my car please?

You weren't tempted to take the full parking sensors system with the switch then, Sam?

i was but the bloke broke one of the sensors so it was worthless. i also tried to take out the gathers sound system and complete navigation loom and rca cables for it but it was all incorporated in the loom.

making a start on the Jdm rear bumper and Motegi lip repair

Post by honda-hardy » Sat Jun 08, 2013 1:08 pm

So, here i have a rear bumper and Motegi rear lip with parts that need plastic welding and filling.

Image

i intended on fitting a rectangular fog light in the hole of the oval fog, but due to the oval fog hole being taller than the rectangular one led me to come up with a different solution.

in the eves of my garage roof i kept the old 4th gen bumper, so am using the plastic to fill the holes.

so firstly the plug for the fog was roughly cut out of the bumper.

Image

then smoothed to shape and inserted in to the new bumper.

next on to the rear lip.

using the curvature of the edge of the 4th gen bumper i traced the curve of the damage in the lip and cut that out,

not having the underside correct just yet, i cut out a flat piece to place on the underside.

Not wasting any time getting them sorted.
Glad you're gonna be able to make the bumper/lip work for you.

ps Good plan using bits of a 4th gen on your 5th - adds sex appeal ;)
