I got the car home still smiling like a cheshire cat and decided to make the most of the long weekend to give her a good going over and see how much of a toll time had actually taken on the old girl.
Saturdays weather was decent so I got stuck in. Here's a quick rundown of what I got done.....
The wheels and trouble spots got a good soaking in Autosmart g101
Then I gave It a full going over with Autosmart Car Shampoo
Then Dried the car and started with the Claybar which made the biggest difference
Then Polished with Poorboys Pro Polish and sealed with Dodo Juice Wax
Finished off by cleaning the windows with Autoglym Glass Polish and Dressing the tyres with Autosmart Highstyle Silcone Dressing
Followed up by a few much needed Beer!!

The weather wasn't playing ball on Sunday so I waited until today to get started on the interior.
Gave it a quick hoover and clean then Took into the leather with Autoglym Leather Cleaner and done the plastics with Autosmart Bubblegum silicone Spray

Still haven't got round to the engine bay yet but that'll keep me out of trouble for a few hours this weekend hopefully...
The only future plans I have at the minute are get the engine bay tidied, rocker cover painted etc. and then sort out the sound system. Need to source a decent cd player with ports for the subs as i'm stuck with a cassette player atm.

On that note, can anyone advise the on the best way to run the wires for an amp from the bay to the inside...in my old mb6 civic there was a rubber grommit in the firewall which was very handy for running from the bay to the inside. Haven't had a chance to have a proper look round in the Lude yet.
Cheers,
Hamo
