Tapatalk is normally £1.99 through Google play, but it is free through the Amazon appstore.

If you haven't already got Amazon appstore, download it here.

You can then download tapatalk community reader free of charge from there! :-)

Don't think it is anymore, just downloaded it and couldn't see tapatalk there anywhere. It just takes me to Google play anyway whenever I click on anything in getjar :?

Only thing I found nice abut tapatalk was that if you got a PM it would come up as a notification on your phone

What does it actually do, and why is it better than just logging in normally?

It's not necessarily better, just easier if you use various forums (only need to log in to one app and it's all there). I dunno, see for yourself - it's free.
