I've had quotes from Admiral for the JDM, no problem, so they do insure imports yes.

Our JDM is with Adrian Flux atm (all mods done/going to be done declared). This time out they came cheaper.

Didn't get a free flux babes calendar this year though

Maybe that's cause it's Lisa Insurance policy, rather than mine?
