As some of you know, I'm in the process of rebuilding a Type-S head. Three of the valve stem seals were missing when I picked it up. Two of the valve guides have some rough edges on them, and I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered something like this before and if they managed to save the guides, or if they had to replace them.
I have heard of some folks filing off burrs and nicks, provided they don't change the diameter of the bore too much.
