lol it was quite a tense moment, but no - all went well!Donald wrote:Skills![]()
What got broken/who got hurt when you took the acros down?I hate those things, surely something must've happened.

The only thing that got hurt was a couple of tiny chips in the paint on the jdm when I was putting them in to take back to the hire company

Cheers for all the kind comments guys, much appreciated.
It was a bit daunting, but you know what they say - you can accomplish anything when you put your mind to it! (apparently

I'd have got it done more quickly too, if job hunting hadn't got in the way

Good news on that front too though, got a new job starting June 10th, so just got to last out till then.

Cheers - but I wish Davey - I might have a slightly different body shape and be employed in a different industry if that was true!
And I meant to say before;
anyway).
I've deliberately left a small section of floor board out directly under the taps/shower pipes/soil pipe so that if there ever are any leaks from there, it goes straight onto the kitchen ceiling and is immediately obvious before it can do any real damage (and the bath is siliconed to death to the wall from below as well as the usual bead above, so it's not getting through that way either!

Yep, there's a LOT to be said for that (besides them just beingSupermarine Blues wrote: I think all bathrooms should be wet rooms - lessens the risk of such nastiness.

If you cut a round hole in the kitchin ceiling too and fit a clear bowl to it you will have a really early leak warning devicewurlycorner wrote:I've deliberately left a small section of floor board out directly under the taps/shower pipes/soil pipe so that if there ever are any leaks from there, it goes straight onto the kitchen ceiling and is immediately obvious before it can do any real damage
