31 miles would only cost you £62 with most of the companys on ebay. £1 a mile is all they charge. Or as said a locsl independent for even less I would think .
Not a lot of good to you I know but the guy who ddoes min would charge be about £50 for that distance so surely you can find somebody for less than the trailer hire.
