Ok, minor update for the sake of it. This lot actually happened before South Mimms a couple of weeks ago.
So the front left hand caliper had partially seized (wasn't returning).
In my big stash of parts I have in the shed waiting for the car I had bought a set of ATR calipers and braided lines ready to do a brake upgrade, but hadn't got any further than that (losing job meant no cash to splash out on the discs/caliper overhaul kits).

Easiest solution to having no running car was to slap the calipers on the standard discs/carriers as an interim measure.
Thought I'd give them a quick spruce up before putting them on though.
One Jizer session later;

In their life, they've been base colour, red, yellow and finally purple. (Probably means they've been on that many cars already too lol
)

And now, they're pearlescant pink
First coats (goes on really really thin and with tons of solvents!)

Glistening in the sun

Fitted, along with the Goodridge braided lines

When I was bleeding the system, I've never seen such rust coloured brake fluid come out before, in my life
The strange thing is, I've always felt this one brakes better than my UKDM (which has all new fluid in it).
Also time to fit the replacement I had for the air filter that had a slight starting accident with a plastic bag still over it...

Also a couple of well seasonally timed snow shots

EDIT: Of the UKDM, so this will need moving to the right profile thread later
(surprised no-one else seemed to spot that one?

That's the plan yep - the colour scheme started with the pink samco hoses
(pink doesn't get done much and it does look good with black)
The pearlescant in the paint looks really good, but it's the wrong pink really, it's a bit 'girly pink' rather than the more shocking bright pink we want it to be. They'll get resprayed a different pink when they get overhauled.
The air filter wasn't the cheapest mistaka-to-maka, that's for sure!

This was the cheapest I found it.Bri wrote: How much was the new filter? could do with one myself.

It was a like-like replacement for the existing. Sexy bit of kit

To fit this one you need a suitable flange mounting to bolt it to though (it's not a jubilee clip round a CAI pipe jobber).
You can buy the complete A'Pexi kit for the lude still, I posted up a link recently. I'll see if I can find the post and paste it here.
EDIT:
Found it. Link to the genuine US shop;
http://apexi-usa.com/shop/index.php/92- ... ntake.html
Amber performance (ebay link above) also sell it according to my original post, for £145.

I can't find where atm but I'm sure if you contacted them they'd find it.
Alternatively variety of the filter adapters so you can fit them to intake pipe (but without the mounting stays) are for sale here;
