I think the 5th genners that get a bit touchy should just get a bit more inventive, I mean christ there's enough to come up with about the 4th, poor mans starship enterprise, fat mitsi eclipse etc etc :D
well i think the best bit about any of the preludes from 3rd, 4th, or 5th is the engine. a cracking little 2.0 16 valve in the 3rd and the excellent h22 of the 4th and 5th. surely no one can argue about that.

oh and by the way welcome to this super friendly forum ;)

What use would he be to them? :?

Also, I LOVE those pics, always have. I also love the fact that unlike so many concepts, the final article stayed pretty damn close to the drawings 8-)

Unfortunately, and in the oddest of places, I just found something that would give 5th genners all the ammo they would ever need against us! :|

yes I like all prelude's, except 4th gens :P
Like the FIAT Uno Start.

The Vauxhall Astra Desire.

etc.

Are those 4G sketches not signed? Or signed in Japanese? Though these things tend to be down as a 'collaborative team thing' being Japanese. EG, the NSX styling was conducted under Masato Nakano, with input from Kazuhiro Ichinose.

Those drawing are so beautiful... Look at that exhaust and NSX style centre panel. You have just made rainy day sunnier for me :) Thanks, Nathan :)

I like all Preludes, I don't hate any. And I think real Prelude lover can't hate any generations, it's part of history, good or bad :)
But I don't see any 5th gen advantages. Interior - the same as in 90% cars of that period. Exterior - matter of taste, but it has less exclusivity. Performance - each generation should improve performance, but it's lower than 4th gen (yes, Type S, but look at the big picture). Ah, yes, 5th gen has reinforced rear upper control arms :D

P.S. :pop:

In 1992 the Prelude was redesigned once more. This new Prelude looked nothing like any of the previous models, it's teardrop profile, the curving design, and oversized taillights it really was a 'love it or hate it' kind of Prelude. It was the first Prelude to be 'designed for women'.

In 1997 the Prelude was redesigned for the last time. As Honda took consumers criticism for the 4th generations styling, Honda decided to bring back the true Prelude styling. So with this last generation, the 5th generation Prelude, Honda designed it to resemble the 3rd generation Prelude. And it was a great idea which proved to be the right choice - as it was given awards for best-styled coupe.

This Prelude won a lot of awards as well, including 'best handling FWD car', 'best coupe of the year',
