RESPRAY TIME
Visited Chipsaway Mansfield to use their spraybooth. WHat was to take 4 hours took me all day from removing everything to putting the lights back on.
All prepped with 600grit and you all know about the rolled arches and rust and dents being sorted and then masked. Front window wasnt masked due to driving into the booth.

Paint all ready. I didnt even use half of it. Gutted as it cost me alot.

With the spray booth running it interfered with the camera....sorry
Before paint.

I applied the paint i had to walk the side to get the pearl to sit properly and evenly.
but my owner of the bodyshop offered to clearcoat the car since he is used to the guns, is more experienced and said he will get a better finish than me. So i let him. 3 coats nice and thick so i can wet sand it flat.

Baked in the oven for 30mins and cooled and demasked and put together. Paint is still soft so spoiler and side repeater will be applied next week after the wetsand.
Job done.

Nice flat finish from the gun. EXCELLENT.

The drive home from Mansfield wasnt pleasant with soft paintwork. There are a fair few dist nibs all over it but spray booths arnt dust proof no matter where you go.
I will wet sand the car next weekend.
1000grit to denib and flatten the clear.
1500 to remove 1000.
2000 followed by 40000 abralon to fine finish folled by 3M perfect it fast cut, extra fine cut and then ultrafine cut with the correct pads.
Got 3 months before i can wax and seal it.
