covered pocket and vtec light fitted.
i bought a center pocket ages ago for my 3rd gen but it didnt fit, i planned on selling it but forgot about that.
anyway, now i have my 5th gen i had a thought about fitting a vtec light but had no blanks or places in the dash to fit it, so whilst looking for some cable, a resistor and an led i stumbled upon the lid pocket. so i fitted the light into the pocket and installed under the stereo.
before

after some trimming on the top lip to allow for the stereo face surround to fit.

opened. with the vtec light discreetly hidden.

next a test with a 9v battery.

connected the + wire to the solenoid harness and - to one of the solenoid bolts.

excuse the sketchy vid, holding a phone and changing gear to film it was tricky.

Brilliantly done HH - looks like it was made for the car - very OEM and of course love the VTEC light thingy
Honda really should have had a vtec light designed into the dash imo

tbh you can see it in the corner of your eye in daylight. But at night the whole pocket glows. I chose orange to match the dash lights. Carrisma i will show you no problem.
