Mine doesn't work either, all tabs are there etc. Not checked whether the prongs in the ignition switch are still applying charge, but my guess was either that, or as you say, battery knackered.

I have seen a thread somewhere, quite a while ago, where someone managed to get into the key to replace the battery (it's sealed so you're not meant to be able to) but I've no idea now where it was/is. :(

Oh wow cool!

:? Why did I think it was sealed then

Maybe that one can move up the investigation list a bit then :)

yeh they come apart real easy, supose it might be possible to replace the batteries with non rechargable ones, but you would have to remove those recharge things on the side of the key, i did consider this but then thought WTF am i doing, just use the key to get in, much simpler than fooking around with a duff key

How come some Preludes still have their remote keys? I thought they weren't allowed to be kept once the car was imported as they don't conform to UK radio frequency laws. Plus I want one :(

i thought all jdm 4g had them, maybe im wrong. mine did work but it would run flat real quick, this leads me to belive the original batteries are kaput after so many years of getting charged  its a good idea though - charge the batteries from the ignition :P
