Check the end seals for signs of leakage and wear.
Undo the two pipes from PS pump and drain. Think you can turn the engine over a couple of times to pump the remaining fluid out.
Some of the bolts securing the rack are PITA to get to. They will be pretty cruddy with road dirt, but an impact driver comes in handy if you have a compressor. There is also a nut that secures the rack to the steering column which is a bit fiddly too.
When reassembling, don't bother connecting the steering column until the front wheel are on and straight, steering wheel straight and then do the steering column bolt (the fiddly one).
When driving to the wheel alignment center, take care. It will be like driving a bowl of jelly!!
