honda-hardy wrote:so then you atts experts. If the radiator is the same as in the autos. When i disconnect the inlet and outlet pipes for the cooler and fit the new radiator, How do i get the oil level correct? Is there a dipstick or level plug. @PerformanceAutoworks rich do you have any ideas about fitment and levels? Ratty. Nitin. James? The more i think about it the more i worry myself.
???

The ATTS cooling lines go over the tranny and into the bottom of the rad.
Drop the coolant and pull the 2 main engine colling pipes out and the 2 ATTS cooling pipes. Fit new rad and fit hoses and full with fluid. Then do the normal bleeding with engine on and pipe squeezidge.

cheers for the pics gordon, ill see you the weekend.

ratty i understand about the oil cooling pipes and how to remove the pipes and refit and blead the coolant ect, but...

questions...

1, is the atts oil supplied by the gearbox and cooled by the rad using the standard gearbox oil, this is what i think is correct, or does the gearbox have a separate oil supply to the atts?

2 if the atts oil supply is sepparate to the gearbox, what oil do i use?

3, if the oil is supplied by the gearbox then is it a case of removing the upper gearbox filler plug and topping up like a normal gearbox until it just starts to dribble out of the plug hole? this is what i think is correct.

4, if the atts has its own separate supply, how do i fill and blead the atts system.?

sorry to sound like a complete nube, but ive never had any dealing with the atts and im perplexing myself with waffle and worry.

Does the US Helms manual help explain all this stuff at all?

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxeuvDp ... lUV1U/edit

(as linked off here)
http://www.preludeonline.com/f60/anothe ... tc-244665/

EDIT:
Or this "ATTS Technicians Guide"
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxeuvDp ... lva1E/edit

EDIT AGAIN:
Yes! Skim read shows on the second doc that page 11 shows the oil circuit and answers some of the questions. Reading the rest might answer some more? (My enthusiasm wanes at that point)

Gearbox is completely seperate to ATTS. ATTS is attached to the left driveshaft, so does its work there after the gearbox.
ATTS uses ATF fluid and its completely seperate.
There is a drain bolt and fill bolt holes at the back of the ATTS unit. Quite easy to do.

Coolant is sperate to ATTS. Just the pipe run through it from the rad.
