I remember the excitement when you bought it - haven't seen the same level come through about the Type S?

I'm guessing the 3rd gen is more heart and the S is more head?

i have always been a retro guy, but i started to want for a nicer drive , more comfort and more reliability.

you couldn't be more wrong about my excitement for this car. i am still in aw of it. i cant believe that i have something so pretty and with the roar of a lion, its almost the best car i have ever owned. dare i say its the headlight that put me off. (only joking)

just look at it, this is the view out of my window this morning, it had been raining in the night and the beads of water just capture the shape of the car so perfectly.

its a credit to the dedication of the previous owner mark.

yesterday i topped up the water in the radiator as it was low. Started it up this morning and no engine idle hunting issues. Brilliant i thought. But no. Broken down. Overheating engine. Radiator has a huge crack in it by the top hose. Now Ive got to drive the 3rd gen. Could be worse, could have been the 4th.

So are there different radiators. My parts guy says 4 variations. Could someone please find out the Honda part number, very sad now.

Damn, there are a few multi-generation owners on the forum but you win 8-)

Does the "S" not use an automatic radiator? It has the extra outputs for the ATTS or auto gearbox?

i honestly cant say, i am away from the car now so cant look. although i did have a gander at the lower mounts but didnt see anything coolant or oil cooler related.

funnily enough, mark the previous owner has just called me to appoligise after reading this, bless him. he said that he believes the atts is a sealed system with no external cooling. i cant hide. he will keep tabs on his old car.

HI MARK.

Don't get a Type-S steering wheel. It's too big like the one on a bus! Get a EP3/DC5/S2000 steering wheel. That looks and feels right! :)
