Jay's Lude
Re: Jay's Lude
Fuchs Titan, 5w40 fully-synth. Massive improvement over semi-synth espeically when cold.

Re: Jay's Lude
Do you have a link to that Honda engineers saying not to use fully synethetic? I can't find any mention of anyone saying not to use it, in fact everywhere I read it's being recommendedjozefsan wrote:and oil was leaking, back on semi and it was ok no leak.
i been said before by Honda engineers that fully s. oil shouldnt be used in this engine

I do think it's a bit thin, but leaks are leaks. The engine run very smoothly with it. I could always switch to a 10w40 fully synth

Re: Jay's Lude
Honda don't say anything about synthetic/semi-synth, only he viscosity, and yes my viscosity is a bit low. I was thinking of going up to 10w40 next change.

According to Honda, the H22 in the Mk5 Prelude:
"An oil viscosity of 5w30 is preferred for improved fuel economy and year-round protection in the vehicle."
The 10w30 is recommended if the ambient temperature exceeds 35 degrees celcius.

Turns out the ARB bushings are very worn as well, the whole bar is moving and knocking
But as the shipping for them is twice the cost, I may just get a new ARB and bushings together as I wanted to replace it anyway.
Going to get another garage to check the suspension as well, check for any rubber bushings and worn parts the other place missed.
