They are archiving absolutely everything.
Every single page posted in the UK internet, every tweet, facebook post etc. etc.
Why? It's their job!
They get/keep a copy of every single book published in the UK, every newspaper (national/local) etc. etc.
They're the national record keeper of British life.

kebabs!
Don't worry guys, when I am rich enough to buy my own island you are all welcome to help with the formation of easily the world's best country.
I don't get why they want to archive ALL of the internet. A lot of it is worthless and not at all constructive
To quote a sort of disclaimer from one of the less savoury internet hang-outs:
"The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood.
Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact."

Yeah, but I think that's exactly the point - archiving the net gives a much more comprehensive reflection of what society was really like at the time and what people are actually up to, instead of just what the papers and authors decided to write about (which would be a fairly small percentage of what actually goes on).Donald wrote: I don't get why they want to archive ALL of the internet.
