best place to buy a hytech replica?
I guess you guys have older cars that don't need a cat for MOT... I have to stick one on every bloody year to pass! Last year even tho I spent ages fitting one it still didn't pass (turned out the HT leads were bad) but luckily the MOT tester who's usually straighter than an arrow just put it though. This year I'm gonna fit a proper sports cat since I've got the space for one on the system anyway and hopefully it'll pass and not sound quite so rudeboy.
Anyway back OT, I bought mine from honda-lab. It looks like ebay item 290595943014 at the moment. Excellent quality, still doing great after a few years. I got it with the optional extension pipe which I had butt welded to a 2.5 DC sports downpipe to take it to the standard cat/decat flange and location.

I decided to modify mine to be tighter up to the sump. As it came there was about 13mm clearance to the sump, but when I'd finished I got it down to about 3mm. Took ages and obviously had to be very careful but it was worth it - loads of speedhumps around here too, and those middle-of-the-lane ones and not a single scrape so far. Car is lowered about 20mm and we can still fly over them at 20-30 with 4 in the car.
I posted it somewhere, I think maybe on my build thread on preludeuk.
(Really better do some work now

a lot of speed bumps where i live and so far no probs with them
one thing i should mention if you planning on fitting one of these is check your front motor mount as this will make a difference to fitment - last three ludes that ive looked at have had knackered front mounts including the one on my own car

cheapest place ive ever seen it for sale was from @Newkid in the group buy section ... info should still be there and its a 2.5inch system and im sure there was discussion a few weeks back on headers and quite a few of us put up the actual dimensions on a few of the high performance headers-again youd have to do a search
