I disagree! Maybe I should have said traditional  There is no kireji, incorrect on and a lack of kigo.

This is more jiyuritsu style. :geek:

When is it going to see it's first outing then?

Traditional haiku consist of 17 on (also known as morae), in three phrases of 5, 7 and 5 on respectively
kiru = Mans obsession & technology

I took the Kireji to be "in ecstatic", ie the verbal punctuation between the separation of the obsession and the technology.

Also I think the kigo is the dreams.

In reality who knows, I have so much to do, and a couple of things still to get. I would love it to be finished before the 7th of July (Scotish Jap show). It needs to be finished in time to get the wheel alignment redone and have the clutch & LSD broken in.

Updating this for if anyone ever comes across it. Spoke to PAW on the phone the other day (they are baffling my sump), for road use a 50/50 blend of Kazz oil & more a of a regular type of gear oil plus a friction modifier, but if track only just use 100% Kaaz oil in an H-series box. Also this is a cheap place for Kaaz oil:

Just clarifying about the Kaaz 'servicing'. That means change the oil not take it out & inspect it?

For the majority yes, but there are actual intervals for inspecting/replacing the clutch plates of the LSD too. Every couple of years I will probably have to pull it apart and inspect it.

The swapping of the gear oil is £50 a shot, every 2,000 miles. And it needs new gear oil as soon as I have broken the LSD, so thats £50 worth of Kaaz gear oil spunked in a couple of hundred miles .

MFactory 4.64 Final Drive

Post by Merlin » Wed Apr 03, 2013 12:52 pm

There isn't a dancing Carlton gif big enough to convey my excitement at this arriving . The last piece of my gearbox puzzle, MFactoy 4.64 Final Drive!!!

I purchased it through Syncrotech in the US as MFactory only sell through dealers. My item tracking showed it was sent from Hong Kong :? (at first I thought WTF, fake?!) Well MFactory have a location out there, their GM is a Hong Konger, their FB their FB page has some pics posted from a HK location, and on forums such as EK9.org they have dudes with US & HK locations. Plus when I submitted a question to MFactory about oil, the GM himself replied and also stated that often they ship from locations around the world when stock has run out in other areas 8-) Hong Kong to Edinburgh in one day!

No Haiku on the box though :( I suppose it is not Jap.

MFactory H22 4.64 Final Drive

I do not know if the torque "increase" is exponential (ie always 9%) or if the percentage increases with an increased base torque level :? I'll have to ask MFactory about that as I have ~190lb/ft to play with. Plus the M2F5 has a lower FD ratio that the rest of the Prelude gearboxes.

M2F5 with stock final drive on the left (Red), M2F5 with MFactory FD on the right (Blue). Graph shows top speed at my 8400rpm limiter for each gear.

Now there is nothing to stop me from getting the new engine and gearbox bits fitted. I would be even better prepared if a certain @NafemanNathan didnt beat me to the punch and get Dino's baffled sump   Never mind though as I am getting one in a few weeks 8-)
