A post about knobs

Yeah, mine's no where near that brighthonda-hardy wrote:heres a vid nath.

Think mine could do with a replacement ring as well (the bit that lights up) as it looks like mine has been stabbed with the keys a few too many times.
My lug is completely missing, so I'd have to make up a whole new bracket to attach to the glove box. Not really spent much time looking at it, but it looks like something has poohed in it anyway, so I wouldn't mind just getting new one3rd_gen_Aaron wrote:I had a dodgy glove box I jb welded a m6 washer with the broken plastic and now its solid. And my new knob arrived yesterday. It wasn't advertised as a Momo (didn't have those markings on the picture either), and I highly expect it's a replica if it is even supposed to resemble a Momo knob, but it's perfect either way

It's about 50mm in diameter which is perfect. The existing one was way too small for my manly hands...

And look at the box it came in!!! That was worth the £13.96 alone!

And there's a nice weight to it...

Compared to...

Still half the weight of a Skunk2 jobby, but it does make shifting noticably smoother.
Me handling my knobs...

And knob-on!...

I actually think momo make good knobs
I have one, prefered it over the type r knob.. nice weighty meaty feel
love the rims too, this lude never fell into better hands

can you remove the ring and polish it with brasso or autosol?NafemanNathan wrote:Think mine could do with a replacement ring as well (the bit that lights up) as it looks like mine has been stabbed with the keys a few too many times.

Cheers LD, I think that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me on here beforeLude-dude wrote:this lude never fell into better hands![]()

I tried removing it. I could get one side of it out, but the other wouldn't come out. Because of all the key stabbings it's been weakened, so would have broken if I'd kept at it. Because that wasn't the main task of the day I just put it all back together, but I'll sort it eventuallyhonda-hardy wrote:can you remove the ring and polish it with brasso or autosol?

EDIT: Also interesting to know that 4 wheels fit perfectly in the boot (I was surprised!) ...

I think it needs it, but I need to analyse some of the local speed bumps to bumper height first
