thanks again for the comments, i had the pleasure of meeting a few of you LGers on the weekend, was a great day out,
Picked up a set of mats off Dbo that need a bit of a clean but are otherwise pretty mint.

after a blast off with the jet wash

the fronts need a bit more work, so got my gun out, its called a tornado gun. it runs off a compressor with a fabric cleaner in the gun, shoots the air out in a tornado motion so it lifts and blasts the dirt out of the carpet. Its removed the flat spot in the carpet and i was covered in grit and mud just waiting for them to dry out to see the finished result.

the rears are really clean so they are now in the car

i also had a new oil cap arrive today

and a new gear gaitor to go with the door inserts

and that is a carbon wrapped washer under my gearknob lol

really glad the mats came out ok

was a bit worried they wouldn't clean up well enough but you have done a fantastic job on them

Monday im taking the car and the repair panels and replacement panels over to the bodyshop to get all the work priced up for the respray so i have a figure to save for, they are also going to be sorting my massive ugly rust bit around my windscreen so i shall be replacing the screen and surround at the same time, where can you get the bronze screens from or the ive seen some with a larger black surround on the glass think this my be US tho
