I did a check and my hunch was right, it was clocked between 2007 and 2008 by around 7000 miles.

Quick screen grab if the VOSA MOT history check, you can see the recorded mileage at its 2007 MOT was 14,240, then just over a year later at the next MOT its magically on 7,973 miles.

Its not an error, its clocked because the next mileage reading in 2009 is 14,343.
