YES Bri, glad to see there is a new project on the go. You know I'm only down the road if you need a hand with anything at all. Still owe you after the help you used to give me on the old Lude.

Been playing golf over at Henlle recently, I'm a member there now so i'll have to pop down after a round one day and see how she's coming along. Looking like you've made a great start though!

Looking forward to seeing the patented Bri front bumper on this.

haha that would have been interesting if i had just turned up at your old place unannounced then. A meet sounds good to me. You had any recently?

Has your new place got a nice convenient car park opposite for meets and doing donuts? ;)

no worries with the wheels, was going to say i've got a spare you can have but there made by league, the other 3 are knackered so there no good to me anymore. So whats next on the list for this one then or is it wait and see?

@Ballbag nope afraid not but I am sure I could sort something out. Will drop you a PM soon.

Bucks, next up is to change inlet manifold, zaust, suspension, then its about cosmetics, I have a small hole near rear passengers arch to sort and usual arch rot, in all fairness they are not too bad but its still a case of cutting and welding to get rid properly, which also means the whole car will need to be resprayed. Its no secret that I plan on making a copy of my last lude but I think this one will stay silver.

Lots to do, so I thought I would get stuck in today... at 3  I stripped down the old manifold and built up the new one ready, its doable but its a muffin of a job, even had to remove oil filter just to get at bolts at back underside of manifold. I tried my very best not to break anything this time but ended up busting my knock sensor in two

Its all in bits right now but it should be running again tomorrow, will see if I can be arsed doing my shocks and zaust too.

Well what a muffin of a job, did it easy enough but ended up with a water leak, FITV playing up and an oil leak, sorted all that, runs a lot better but STILL have a slight flat spot between 3+4k and revs take a while to drop down, when they do it almost cuts out! I know its not vac hoses because I labled them all, The whistle came back so I bypassed the IAB under the manifold to see if that was the whistle but nope, now I broke one of the nipples of it  I changed the pressure regulator on the fuel rail and so far no whistle.

So far I have :

done timing
fuel filter
dizzy cap
rotor arm
IAB bypass
fuel pressure regulator changed
new TB
new inlet manifold
different FITV
Changed air filter

And yet still a slight flat spot, plugs and leads is the only thing left I can think of, I do want to try another FITV to see if it will settle properly when its warm, when its cold its all perfect. Its got me a bit stumped this time :?

Oh yes got my sub wired up so at least I got some big tunes. Next up is shockers and zaust, maybe a bit of body work too.

Only a few little updates, Got rid of the whistle and Idle issues but I am still being plagued with the flat spots in the lower half of the rev range when its warm. I have done all of the following to try and get rid, I know its electrical or injector related.

done the following so far

Main relay
coil pack
sealed injectors in place carefully
Air fuel temp sensor swapped
02 sensor swapped
map sensor swapped
TPS swapped twice
throttle body swapped numerous times
knock sensor replaced after the mishap I had with it
ECU swap
EGR Swap
Replaced whole intake manifold
FITV (about 3 times)
IACV (about 3 times)

Im thinking now either dizzy internals, water temp sensor, whatever it is its a sensor on the circuit that is used when warmed up because its not there at all when its cold. Had this for months now. will get there.

While I have not been able to track it down yet I thought I would get some other jobs done like re covering the parcel shelf and fixing the 6x9s in properly.

Had some good news, I have had a small pay rise and now a proper contract at work instead of working through an agency, as I deal with the paint supplier I may be getting 5 litres of paint as a freebie in the colour of my choice :D Fingers crossed I will be getting stuck into the body work and have the throttle issue sorted soon.
