Daytona 500: Nascar crash

This race was on Friday...

30 spectators were injured by the flying debris, apparently an engine block came thru the fence further down the track, and looks like a few people took a tyre to the face.

At least taking a tyre to the head will wake you up after falling asleep from watching a load of cars drive around in a circle for 500 laps.

This wasnt the 500. This was saturday night our time. It was the nationwide series, using smaller engines. The 500 was on Sunday. The front half of the car went through the fence with the engine and one wheel landing just inside the fence but the other wheel went a lot further up into the crowd and landed on someones chair with them still in it.... theres a vid on liveleak..
