Unfortunately my prelude has some internal issues and i am unable to afford the strip down and rebuild of what ever it may be (suspected injector issue or cracked sleeve i think the garage said) the car does run and drive but with a bad misfire on cylinder 1, so ive decided to break the car or could possibly be sold as a project if someone has the time and knowledge to repair.
Its a 97 5th gen and all parts are available. the wheels had fresh tyres fitted 2 days before this happened. the rest of the car and parts are in great working condition.
ive not posted here before but used to be regular on prelude uk.

before you break her matey is there no one nearby can go have a look it may not be such a big issue garages tend not to know what they are talking about with these small issues on preludes could be as simple as a bad ht lead or spark plug or a dizzy not a huge or expensive problem

ha my bad, just the lights then.
we did check the dizzy and leads first , took the plugs out and 1st one covered in oil, he did a compression test and it was way down on the other 3 . it would be nice to think its nothing bad but spoke to a few garages and all come back with the same outcome.

take off the rocker cover clean out the oil from the plug hole put some sealant round the plug tube put the rocker back on and try it again there should be a rubber seal on the rocker cover plug tube.
