A8 5th gen breaking GONE

Following on from this. Car is now being broken. I'll get some pics up tonight. Belts etc were replaced by garage earlier this year. Turns out it's a cam pulley that's snapped!

how much for the engine? im guessing it could have damaged internals... i'd be rebuilding it for an experiment if i had it.

also, how much for the type S intake as the one im waiting for is taking a while lol

Not the best pic but here's a pic of pulley. Rocker cover be removed tomorrow to see how bad.

I would like the following:
dibs on the 4WS steering sensor behind the steering wheel (details later)
The hood and bonnet honda H logo badges/decals
The whole air intake assembly - filter box, pipe etc..
Optionally the valve cover, if you'd part with it for a good price.

How on earth has that happened? Even if the belt snapped first the end would have been whipped away from the cam gear. And if the cam gear broke first, how?! Surely nothing got inbetween the spokes?...

I honestly don't have a clue. The cam markers for the timing on both cams are in the same place tho.

So either coincidence or the engine wasn't running when it snapped?
