4th Gen JDM Parking Pole

Post by 4th Gen Doug » Tue Jan 31, 2012 9:31 pm

Hi,
I Managed to get hold of a JDM parking pole from ebay last week. I was just rummaging around the interwebz to find out how to fit it (will add a guide here with pics if you want mods!), and just read somewhere that there is a relay for it secreted in the car somewhere.. Didn't bloody say where tho!
Does anyone know where in the car it might be - so I can ask the seller to rob me blind to send me the f**king thing...
Cheers guys!

you need the whole wiring loom matey it runs up the passenger wing into the cabin where it connects to the main dash loom via a male/female wiring socket/plug

Bugger!
Wish I hadn't bought the chuffing thing now - can't I just 'make' a wiring loom? :?

Of course you can. If you can find wiring diagram, then it's quite simple. From it you can figure out, what relay it is used there and just buy a new one, not OEM. If you won't find wiring diagram, then you can try to follow wire colors to connect everything and to just think what relay it might be, where it is place, what does it do. Just guessing, maybe it's a simple relay for button? Like the one, use for cruise control button? You can try to find a photo of relay, it might help. I looked through my Pole photos, there was no relay in it.

I have done a wiring loom for cruise control (it was not present in my Prelude). Just took as many wire colors, as I could find in shop and soldering began :)
It would be nice, if you could share wiring diagram or photos, when you have any. I hope I will get a Pole some day too :)
