Electric aerial swap dab
Does anyone know of anywhere or anyone that has swapped out the preludes original manufacturer's aerial and put in place a dab short style fixed mast? I don't see why it can't be done but I'm struggling to find out any information.
Cheers

I swapped out the original for an s2k aerial many years ago and it's still fine. FM obviously.
I later fitted a blaupunkt dab and fitted the dab aerial at the top of the rear screen. Unobtrusive and works great. Not sure if that actually helps you though!
Tbh, if you can get a suitable fitting dab aerial, there should be no issues with running the lead to the original location, its easy enough.

Re: Electric aerial swap dab
I really want to get a stubby style aerial to replace it but I'm not sure if they exist.

seems to be plenty of aerial choice i guess the stick to the windscreen type is popular due to the less work involved in running the new aerial cable , long way from the rear corner to headunit in the 4h gen lots of trim to strip out

success is the ability to go from one failure to the next without any loss of enthusiasm

I think I'll have to do a roof mounted one.

Don't you have to rely on a 3 or 4g signal?

Have you got the half-height aerial switch?
Because here's a thing. At half-height, the aerial is about the correct length for DAB. I have a DAB/FM radio - I got a DAB/FM splitter cable, connected it to the two aerial sockets in the radio and its input to the stock aerial cable.
Then because I listen to DAB most of the time (if I'm listening to radio at all) I just leave the button on the 'half' setting, and it works for DAB perfectly!
