Refurbished UKDM Headlights kicking the wrong way

To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

Refurbished UKDM Headlights kicking the wrong way

Post by NafemanNathan » Tue Dec 29, 2015 5:52 pm

I've recently refurbished a set of Headlights for my 5th gen. They're the set of lights I got from gordonlear who had a UKDM and I've had them on the car before and they've passed mots as the kick up on dipped beam was as it should be to the left.

However I've fitted them tonight and the kickup for some reason is undoubtedly to the right :?

There's no way to fit the reflectors the wrong way around, is there anything else I could have done?

Did you take them apart? Are you sure each individual light kicks up to the right?
Oem or depo?

Yeah, definitely up to the right (New Osram Night breakers and clear lenses, so the projection is really clear).

They're OEM and yeah, took them apart, but didn't remove the bulb cover/cap thingy.

Are the bulbs seated the right way. On my fx projectors the bulb pattern changes if I spin the bulb.

I thought in an ideal world that that's all it would be  I'll certainly try that, but fairly sure it won't matter with these bulbs and they have a flat spot on th base to, so only properly sit in one position.

What projectors? There's the whole reflector unit that can only go in one way and the dipped beam bulb cover that again can only fit one way (and I didn't detach those anyway). I'm very confused :|
