Hid h1 kit?

Post by johnierice » Fri Oct 16, 2015 9:44 pm

I ordered a h1 hid kit for my dipped beam. When I come to fit the kit I discovered that there is a bulb holder that the standard bulb sits inside.
Should I buy another size bulb or make some collars to fit inside?

What have other people done please?

Not fussed about that mate, have ran the same kits in my accord, corolla and evo for years and not had a problem.

Mine fitted straight in when I ran them

Upload a pic so I can see what you mean

And yeah merc I've been on both sides so I know how annoying it is but also how much better you can see the road lol.
I usually ran mine on the lowest setting for headlights, 3 I think, so usually wasn't that bad on people if you had proper allignment

Hid in halogen headlights. I hate every single one. Always gets blinded with glare.

On a slightly related note, has anyone tried those led headlight bulbs?

Only ever had sidelights tbh, go a bit flickery after a week or so... can't imagine that would be good for dipped headlight lop
