Can I solve this?

This is an annoyance rather than something that really bothers me.

Why do my CD's skip for a second and then continue to do this regularly during all tracks?
It happens on all my Cd's both on the Lude and Soarer but not on my home equipment.
It will happen if the car is stationary or moving.

Fortunately I have tape players in both cars and I have about a thousand tapes so I can still have my music but that really stepping back in time!

Any ideas folks?

Try cleaning the CD player?

I had a dodgy DVD player that did this kind of thing and the laser was out of alignment, so not reading the disk correctly.

Are they pukka CD's or CD-R's?
Is the car CD player a slot loader? If so... Are the CD's scratched?

If they're proper CD's liikely causes are, as vtecmec says, clean the lense on the CD players, polish the CD's, or the CD player is just getting worn out...
