Arch liners

Post by sarah_h » Tue Sep 10, 2013 7:30 pm

Just completing final reassembly of my lude for its MOT on Friday.

Can someone help me out on whether I should have arch liners for the rear of the car? The front ones I have are obvious as to where they fit but I seem to have only one piece that could feasibly fit the back and I can't see another in the garage.

Ah the joys of putting back together a car that someone else dismantled and left me with.... :x

Why Arch liners? Why is the character of the liners so important? Is it that you expect the ones at the back to be sneaky and underhand?

Good luck with it anyway :)

On a tangential note, please stop flaunting your mechanical eptitude. It's turning me on. (Sorry  )

Edit: Actually, don't :D

Should be a liner both sides, just at the back of the arch, although it seems some jdms didn't have them on the drivers side. they're different each side.
Check my bits I want post. The pic in there is of the drivers side, the pass side is bigger and runs up the fuel filler pipe.

I've raided 2 JDM's for Wurly, and checked my own, and I reckon there should be only one arch liner on the JDM cars  I can't understand why so many Japanese imports would be missing them otherwise :?

Wow that is quite a list!!

Well mine is UKDM and I'm starting to wonder whether mine only had one which I think belongs on the passenger side as part of it looks like it covers the fuel filler pipe, or possibly it did have one which is now languishing in the garage somewhere.

Not too worried as they aren't an MOT requirement, but would be nice to get it all reassembled.

Thanks for the help :)
