cf bonnet how easy to fix this?

gathered the courage to clean up the old cf bonnet that i damaged a few months back
now that its cleaned up and ive had a closer look at the damage it seems the top carbon layer is intact and there are no missing bits - mainly some largish cracks across the back edge and a split up the side about 6 inches long.
Im now thinking it might be possible to save this rather than just scrap it.
Any ideas how easy to fix this and best method.....

the back will fix buddy just need to widen the crack a little by sanding /grinding with a dremmel and apply some glassmat and resin and some p40 glass filler is it p40 or p38 I cant remember now I am sure someone with a bit more knowledge will be along soon

It's actually not as bad as I thought it would be, I'd say repairable as Merc says. Get it done!

I don't know anything about cf repair, but if it were me I'd prise open the break a bit with a screwdriver and squirt some fiberglass resin in the gap, get some G-clamps to squeeze it together until set then lay fiberglass matting over the cracks on the back and fill and sand etc as said above..

That looks to be repairable, as suggested as above really.

thanks guys - i was surprised it wasnt worse - ive never done much fibreglass work so might need to seek out a bodyshop

No need for bodyshop mate you'll be fine, especially as all the repairs are hidden on the underneath of the bonnet. Do you remember doing paper mâché when you were younger? Its the same principal, just different ingredients. You'll be fine mate

I had no knowledge in it at all but did my bumper and turned out fine. Man up and crack on you can't go wrong just plenty of sanding!
