So before I went to Santapod I washed the lude and gave it a good scrub up to make it look half decent. I drove to santapod and told me that my rear brake lights didnt work. I checked the fuse and it had blown. It's done it 5 times now!

It seems that every time it rains or I wash it it blows the fuse. I'm not sure if its down to water getting in the sunroof and shorting out the circuit some how? Ddoubledanny told me it could be down to the sunroof leaking. However I can't see any where it can be? My rear washer doesn't work so I don't know if the pipe is broken or spraying water everywhere?!

Trying to work out my options and looking gor advise?! I've looked at carbon fibre inserts which are very rare and ridiculously expensive If I could find one! and even thought about getting rid of it completely? Just either metal plate and weld it ( I know a welder) and filling it all in. Or.. Getting clear Perspex so it's more light weight?!

What would be my best option for price? Any suggestions will be great.

If anything it's more likely to be water/condensation in/around your tail lights that will be causing a short, so I'd check there first, rather than jumping into the most expensive option first!

Has anyone been playing about with a rear fog light if it's a JDM? Have you inspected the wiring back there?

Nope can't see anything water wise in or around the lights, I can see light dust inside them and no water marks at all.
The rubber on the sunroof does look a little loose.

I know that during the winter the rear inside "prelude" brake light filled up with water and when I went round a corner it dripped out.

I don't know how all of that is connected though?! Big job taking all the head lining apart?

The rear fog is seperate it's JDM and on a switch on the steering wheel column.

Where could that be leaking for it to get in there?!

It will either be your washer fluid pipe has come off and it's washer fluid

or, if the same as mine

the rubber seal under the washer nozzle has perished and is letting water in.

Remove plastic cover behind the "high level" brake light, pop washer nozzle out, quick squirt of silicone sealant then push back into place. Job done :)
