Finally getting round to sorting out my 5G Lude YAY lol

Post by bigbfer » Mon Jun 10, 2013 7:08 pm

I bought her at xmas from the LG Forum's with front end damage, haven't had much time to do anything with her in the last 6 month to busy repairing bodywork on other people's cars so decided enough is enough put myself and the Lude 1st and pour some much needed love in to her. Got a wee bit started on Sunday long may it continue :D got 3 pics so far hopeful for nxt stage trial fit new panel on to it with the headlights bonnet wings etc before welding in place so fingers crossed

One other thing guys I noticed that even when the engine has heated right up to full working temp, you can sit stationery in park and and try to give it a good rev but it seem's to hit a limiter at 5k???? :?: I have not drivin the car so have no idea if its hitting vtec, but for certain the oil level is spot on, any idea's...........ECU problem? Limp mode maybe?????? :?: :?

That's normal AFAIK. Why would you want to go over 5K if you're not going anywhere? ;)

You won't Vtec till your moving the ECU needs a reading from the VSS of over 18mph before it will let Vtec engage

18mph seems to be a magical number as that is also the speed where on 4WS cars the rear wheels switch from pointing opposite the front wheels to pointing in the same direction.
