I will save you the time.

N = kg m s^2

N = kg * 9.81 m s^2.

N / acceleration = kg.

kg m s ^2 / m s^2 = kg.

At least I've made your sunday now though, eh? ;)

Now you can try and lecture me about how to calculate hoop stress and the safety factors when designing pressure cylinders... :P
:ugeek: ;)

Someone's mad :lol:

Are you sure you can manage hoop stress? I'd be skeptical considering you seem to be struggling with KS2 maths. You mention it like I haven't had to consider cardiovascular/respiratory physiology :P

To get this thread back on track (and David I thought I might as well mention this to all)... I've just got off the phone to Ian from Ace Fibreglass about him coming to look at my doors to better work out some prices for this. He's currently running around like a headless chicken trying to get things wrapped up for the end of the week, as next week he's off on holiday. So at the moment we've left it that I'll call him again in two weeks to arrange a viewing.

He said the pictures you sent him were pretty good at giving him an idea of what was needed and said that they're more than capable of making them (fibreglass or carbon fibre) :)

So watch this space...

... And anyone feel free to remind me in two weeks to call him again ;) :lol:

@mercutio I'm not sure that I'll remember to remind @nafemannathan to call the guy again, I might forget. Maybe we would need to get @ammo to remind him?
