Don't worry about masking rubbers. I never unless the polish foam catches it and sprays foam everywhere.
Use peanut butter oil on rubbers. It's incredicle.

I bought some goodies! I hope the rain holds off tomorrow.
Sadly they got my order wrong and sent me auto balm instead of the auto wash, but I've been assured that it will arrive tomorrow by 1pm.

This is the bit I've been struggling getting my head around - I've been reading conflicting things on line (from the manufacturers!) as to whether you polish then wax, or whether you polish instead of waxing, so I've been holding off at polish only so far...

So I definitely should wax after polishing???

yes wax after polish, the wax protects the polished surface. also aids in washing.as dirt tends to run off with a hose better.

that auto balm is fantastic stuff. gives a very high gloss wet look deep shine to the paint.brings out paint flecks too.

See I looked in to the three bh waxes, and chose the fini wax because it said it would protect and shine well. But I have both now, so what do you suggest? I'm new to all this.

I had the old autobalm formula and it went moudly.
Finis wax is very touch and lasts well
I have some Hydrax wax to top up after every wash.

I will finish wax twice a year and hydra wax around once a month. I dont drive the car enough to get it dirty.

Clenser polish can be use as a last stage process instead of wax and it has a waxy type clean finish but wax over it for best results.

How did you get on with BH clay?

I tried it again the other week and i still hate it. Even in 30 degree heat it was still rock hard and once wet it won't go back into a usable shape. I threw the BH clay in the bin and used my last little bit of Sonus green.
