I saw this the first time it was listed - rot not known about then, so presumably the winning bidder turned up, looked it over and found a few things they didn't know about!

Bad luck for the charity that's been given it :(

Looks like its had a knock on the front and rear bumpers near side.

With the issues listed in the advert, why wouldn't you wash it, hoover the footwells out and give the dash a wipe? At the very least get it presentable and make an effort to get as much as you could for the charity

Maybe the Charity has a high turnover of sales and not many folk to administer? I agree with you that a bit of cosmetics would be a good idea but I think this is often the case.

Shame about the rust, as you say, Merc. It's cute.

Damn, that's a pretty Accord! I wish I had space for more cars

Bodywork appears to be in fairly good condition, underside corrosion is (generally) a lot easier to mend as it doesn't need to be pretty as long as it's strong.

But, why is it stated as 'not roadworthy' but gives the impression the current MOT (til April 2015) only listed the chassis corrosion as an advisory? :? *

Need to stop selling it to myself...

*Also, it wouldn't have been hard to have taken a 'general' photo of the underside to give prospective viewers/buyers an idea of the level or corrosion?

Corrosion not in an MOT failure place (e.g. around suspension/engine mountings/seat belt anchor points etc) and previous winning bidder came along with a big hammer and screw driver and had a good check of all the other areas, would be my surmising.
