@ Paul, around 20 years I think. What boiler is it? I manage quite a lot of boiler approvals so probably did the paperwork

@LLL the female hormones are part of plastic production, all plastics and plasticisers are known to contain and leech out female hormones and they are also known to cause sterillity in men exposed to high levels of such substances. As I was a temp in the lab at an adhesives plant I got to find out about all this but as a temp I was excluded from the bi-annual health checks. Also got exposed to a few fun things like KOH and methylene chloride, nappar-6, DSP 60-95, toluene, plasticisers, resins etc etc. Apparently Methylene Chloride is a known carcenogenic and I got exposed to a fair bit despite H&S being followed.

COSHH is there for your safety and the safety of others  if people don't like the taste of chlorine in the water speak to the company involved, water should have very little to no chlorine in it by the time it gets to your taps. Alternatively filtering or just airation will do it, chlorine leaves water rather quickly in the open air so getting venturi taps would ensure you pretty much never taste it again ;)

I understand it's for safety, it just pisses me off that at college we have to do COSHH stuff for some assignments where we'll come into contact with hamster urine or something. I don't do all this paperwork when I go for a jobby. I guess lucky for me I've dealt with this stuff for years at work, most people on my course can barely remember what it stands for

Some rodent urine carries Leptosperosis dude ;) not pleasant in the slightest, that would be my guess as to why you need to fill it out. Could be other reasons but I know that one applies to leakage work and jaundice is not fun at the best of times let alone that particular strain.
