Im based in Telford myself, pretty close to the welsh border i guess, the banger racing was at a place called Four Crosses in Powys i think? was only about 25 miles away so well worth the trip down there, enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, it was on today as well i should have added, i remember there was an offer for £60 for entry for both days plus camping for 4 people, but i couldnt get enough of my mates motivated enough!

My problem with banger racing is that there are lots of dodgy people involved in it and as a result, that's where plenty of stolen classic cars end up (stolen purely to be banger raced), which is absolutely out of order.

It would be so bloody easy to cut that out of it, too - cars must turn up with the VIN intact and the VIN plate to be checked on arrival by the police for tamper etc and the VIN run through the PNC.
Simple thing that would stop 90% of that crap.
