Not saying it ain't a reasonable test for a manifold comparison, it's just that you will not get the best from the header if the rest of the exhaust system isn't up to the job. Your just moving the block point a little further back. Maybe some of the headers would make more power if this was the case and the rankings would change.

If I spend £££'s on a manifold I'd spend a few £££ more to get the rest of the exhaust right as well. So it's an ok test but I wonder if the companies that built the manifolds tested them without optimising the rest of the system as well? I can't see it.
