Hello all,
I have test fitted my 300mm ATR discs and noticed they hit the rear disc dust cover, do you guys remove it or just bend it back out of the way to give clearance? Whats everybody's opinion who has experience of this?
Thanks!

I've just removed mine but they are pretty easy to just bend back out the way. Most are so rusty and already bent they look better removed

From what I read yesterday, they stop bits of grit, mud and general crud making their way between the disc and pad.. It could make you lose some braking efficiency if you get something trapped in there.

I'm sure I heard it was an MOT fail if they weren't present now

Thanks for the replies, did some research and some people mentioned it also stops water bouncing off the inner wheel arch and spraying onto the discs, so apparently it will also stop the inside getting covered in water and reducing braking performance, think i'll bend em back and leave them on for now!
