Is this true? Non-ABS MC?

Is it true that non-ABS Preludes (BB4 4th gen for example) use a 15/16th's brake master cylinder rather than the 1" which all other 2.2's use?

I have found on lings the regular ABS UKDM 2.2 46100-SM4-954) and a non-ABS from Australia/NZ 46100-SM4-033.

Can anyone comment or confirm?

Kool! 1" MC upgrade for me then 8-)

I have always said my 5th gen brakes feel much better than my BB4, this might begin to explain why.

Next thing though, is the brake booster the same diameter? Can I put a 1" MC from a 4th gen or a 5th gen (they are slightly different) on to my original brake booster if its the same, or should I use the one that comes with the 1"?

Im trying to read up on why the 5th got a slightly different MC and if there is any advantage to using a 5th gen one.

You mean the 15/16 Vs the 1"? I dont know.

I am trying to find if there are differences between the 4th and 5th, there is very little info. In my mind why change the design if there is no difference :? But you can't assume that :(

Well screw buying a new brake booster & MC from Honda. Both the 4th and 5th gens are a grand for both parts combined. Also the boosters / angle of the MC bolt holes are different on the 4th and 5th gens.

Yeah, it doesnt have ABS so it appears it has a smaller master cylinder.

yeah non abs versions on 4th gens are 15/16th - ive got a spare and its stamped 15/16"s on the body - i will check this afternoon whats stamped on the body of the abs version of the 4th gen.
it would be excellent if theyre a straight swap
probably best to take the whole unit out in 1 piece with the booster
will let u know
