Hi all
just a very quick question
are 215-45-r17 tyres stock for prelude? will they rub on the fronts if quite low?
or it is best to go for 205
cheers

215/45/17 Is what I use. The only time I rub is when I'm carrying a load (I'm lowered)

cheers guys
will 205 benefit the lude in anyway?
i currently have 205 but thought 215 is the oem size but worried going up a size on the width profile - Also worried that the front arch liner will rub on 215s if i have the car low
cheers merlin. Yep already done that rear bumper tabe removal mod

215 will be fine, I have 40 profile which is what I thought was right and it its for rolling radius
but 45 profile with give you more protection for the rim and nicer ride

This is all assuming your offset is standard as well

215 x 40 x 17 is the nearest rolling radius so is most accurate for the speedo. But as said, 45 profile will give a less harsh ride (slightly)

I am sure that 215/45/17 is the standard size for Prelude OEM 17" wheels.

Could well be on the 5th Gen, I was talking 4th Gen 205x55x15 upgrade. Sorry
I know the ATR has 215x45x17 tyres too.

225/45/17 was the most accurate on my car for Speedo and as close to the 4" sidewall as possible.
Stock size is 205/45/17.
You wo.t find much difference in width on a 7" wheel. Tyre compound is more important.
More important still is having a sidewall. 40 profile won't offer much. 45 will improve the handling.
I now run 225/45/16 but may turn to 205/50/16 to go wider offset without rubbing.
