No mone ps rack, its possible but if you use it as a daily I wouldnt! Makes the steering very heavy!

Would def not be a daily! Got the flying fiesta for that lol apparently there could be issues with MoT?

I think legally if the car had pas it must have pas for the mot.
Mines been removed for awhile and its soo much better on track, tough parking and flooring it in low gears can be quite a fight(no LSD, and I'm a 9st weakling).

Same as with ABS, if there's signs that it was once there (ie. the pumps remain or various hoses etc) then yes it will be an MOT fail if you remove it. But if the tester can't tell it should have it then what's to fail? (Unless they know 
).
The usual method of removing PS is to loop the lines on the rack. You can then put the shield back over the connections and then provided the tester doesn't remove the shield (no reason why he would) he woun't be able to see.

I have a ps leak and i want to delete my ps anyways. It seems pretty easy to loop the lines at the vss and rack.
But do you HAVE to remove the lines that run all in the engine area? I want to remove the pump, reservoir, hose from pump and then loop the lines. Can I just cut the hard lines where I would use them as nipples to loop, then cut the rest of the useless line even higher up so it doesnt get in the way.
Or would everything have to be removed? Thanks

Hi mate.
You can just cut and loop. You could even leave the pump and belt in situe, but it would obviously body lemonade fluid everywhere until it's pumped all the fluid out.
The only trouble with leaving visible pipes in the bay is it is actually an MOT fail to have had PAS and removed it. Most MOTers aren't wise to whether all Prelude's have PAS or not and so if they don't see any signs of it having had PAS they won't fail it. If they do see signs then it's simply a case of the PAS isn't working as it should and therefore it fails.
it's not hard to remove all the visible pipes though. The hardest ones are where it drops below the inlet manifold, and I suppose you could risk leaving those. But if and when he lifts the car up and stands directly below the back of the block, he will see them.
