No 4ws light. Not the usual issue

Post by Animal Mother » Mon Oct 22, 2012 7:12 pm

I picked up the 5g lude last week. I already knew the 4ws light wasn't illuminating, so, as advised on here, I checked the fuse and the instrument cluster.

40A fuse? There and not blown.

Instrument bulb? There and working.

2WS instrument panel? No, definitely 4ws.

Any ideas anyone? :?

The light doesn't light up at all (on ignition etc).

Could the ECU have been disconnected? :?

These two comments seem to contradict one another. :?

Does the bulb illuminate at all?

Not really. The bulb is there and I've checked if it's working, it is.

When it's in the instrument cluster, it doesn't illuminate.

I even swapped it with the ABS bulb and the ABS warning light comes on.

I've ruled out broken bulbs, broken bulb holder, 40A fuse.

You need a multimeter & a wiring diagram.

I mean, you've checked the ECU is present?
