I wouldn't recommend more than 40mm drop on standard shocks. 40mm looks good and should cope with speed humps as well.
I ran 40mm Pi springs on my silver 4th gen. They're great quality and didn't break the bank. They're obviously not something you want to be to tight on.
H&R springs are great to.

30-35 for springs I would say. Think mine are these ones doesn't say what drop they are.

I have koni/eibach's on my BB4 and can still make it over speed bumps on 15" (205/55/15) wheels - the konis are set at oem ride height. also had them with 16"'s on (205/50/16) and also had no issue
ive driven a 4th on 17"'s with apex lowering springs/std shocks and they rubbed going over speed bumps so wouldnt recommend them
got to say the eibachs are excellent and im sure ive seen new sets on ebay for around £150 which is quite a bit less than they used to cost so definately worth a look.

So it's not lowered?vanzep wrote:I have koni/eibach's on my BB4 and can still make it over speed bumps on 15" (205/55/15) wheels - the konis are set at oem ride height.

That would all depend on the wheel width, offset and tyre size, not because they were 17's.vanzep wrote:ive driven a 4th on 17"'s with apex lowering springs/std shocks and they rubbed going over speed bumps so wouldnt recommend them
