Abs disco lights

Hi had a abs light come on today an codes 81 ecu , 51 motor lock, and 53 motor struck on , came up I was thinking if it's the abs ecu was faulty ,would that make the other codes come on ? An where exactly is the abs ecu thanks guys hope you can help

The ecu is behind a panel in the left side of the passenger footwell. It is the metal unit mounted behind a plastic unit.

Is that for the abs or the engine ecu to get another would it be a plug in an play or does it need reprogramming thanks

Thats the abs ecu it doesn't need programming to the car. Have a look at the service manual section of this forum for fault finding.

dont hear a lot about abs problems normally its 4ws problems - not sure if one can trigger the other.
ive had my BB1 for a year and not even looked at the abs stuff :oops: i guess id better read up on how often the fluid needs replaced etc

Never had a abs code before an I end up with 3 bit like buses they all come at once
