Lude Generation

First off, happy new year guys.
I've been looking at purchasing new wheels for a while now and finally put the money down. Rota best fits my price range and out of all the models I'm liking the Slipstreams the most.
After much investigation on tyre size and offsets I've gone for 17x7.5 et40 slips. Seeing as I am lowered (not slammed) I'm think I'm going to have rubbing issues.
Am I pushing it too far going for et40? Is there a lot of difference visually between et40 and et45?
I plan on fitting Kumho V70a 215/40R17 tyres to these wheels.

P.s: I've also gone through some lude profiles (Ratty's for example) looking at slips but I can't find anyone with these sizes, if anyone has any pics I will be forking out some rep!

ET45 is enough IMO. Even then there is still a bit or rubbing on the rear bumper when the car is full, I am lowered. (http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/honda-p ... -t535.html).

Thanks for the pic. Mine's lowered roughly the same height as yours I reckon so look like I might need to ask for et45's instead.

Cheers wurly, I've seen these already. The problem is i'm pushing it with the size wheel I've bought. Those 15's look pretty safe on fitment for the 5th gen.

Also looking at Rota Titans in the same size but et42 or et45. The place I've bought the slipstreams from says there are none in stock and would need to be fabricated Apparently they could get me Titans quicker as they are in stock.

+45 17x7.5 will fit fine. Stretch it to a 215/45/17.
You might have to cut the rear bumper tab a bit but you visually won't see anything once done.

Why do you say 215/45 instead of 215/40 Ratty? I thought 215/40R17 would be closer to original tyre diameter.

205/45/17 & 215/45/17 is what was fitted by honda standard on the motegis.

Ignore overall size. It's overrated. Tyre wall is part of the suspension. I have ran 215/40 and 215/45 runs much better. I run 245/40 at the moment and it's the same overall diameter..

Damn... it sucks to hear that. I got a place that can sell me v70a semislicks over here in Spain for an excellent price (88GBP) but they can only supply me 215/40...
Not sure what to do now as if I went to 215/45 i'd have to settle for kumho ku36 for a similar price.

EDIT: It might help if I state the use I plan to give this set. The wheels and tyres would only be for sunny weekends and trackdays. Comfort would not be an issue but handling and stability are a must.

Ratty in what way do you mean it runs better? A softer ride ?
