Ull be lucky to get a better all round package than the atr setup under 16s bud.

Better in terms of what?
You won't stop the car any quicker. Tyres and weight dictate that.
You will only help heat management and brake fade and this is with bigger brakes. More pistons will improve bite and pad efficiency.

I was wondering this but if I can keep 16s I'd prefer it

To be honest my brakes feel pretty crap . I suppose it could be down to to the red stuff pads and grooved discs I have but I'd like a set of 4 pots or maybe 6 if possible

IMO ditch the pads and fit ferodo ds2500, also plain disc are fine I never bother with drilled or grooved rubbish. I've had green and red stuff before and swore never again. Since fitting ferodos to my mates track type s on standard brakes it's just awesome, but they do not come cheap :(

I'd keep the ATR caliper and choose a different disc and pad. Pagid blank discs with Ferodo DS2500 or Hawk HP+ pads.

Poor disc/pad choice.

Get a set of plain discs, and some good pads. The Ferodo DS2500 as mentioned above gets some love.

I use Carbotech XP-8 on my Legnum, which get better and better with heat, unlike many other pads which get worse with heat! Not sure if Carbotech (01786 885 000) can help you out?

If you do want to go multi pot upgrade, @mercutio had some K-sports for sale?
